The model SCC-2700 measures and moves the cutting mechanism along with the extruded column, matching the speed and accurately measuring the length. This technique assures extremely accurate right-angle cuts regardless of the speed of the clay column.

Digital Clay Cutter Control

At Starkey Machinery, we manufacture our own dedicated microprocessor-based digital cutter controls.  Each system uses sensors coupled with pneumatic or rotary cutting heads to accurately shape, measure, and cut.  Single or multi-channel controllers permit each cutter head to independently measure and cut for consistent results.  Our custom-software also keeps track of how many parts are produced by each cutting head.
