A.J. Wahl Company ( Wahlco ) Pugmills and Clay Extruders

The A.J. Wahl Company (Wahlco) of Brockton, NY designed and manufactured automatic pottery jiggering, glazing and other ceramic processing equipment.

Nearly 20 years ago, Starkey Machinery bought the A.J. Wahl Company and now the Wahlco name is now part of Starkey Machinery’s family of product lines. Starkey Machinery builds and maintains all Wahl pugmills and extruders in addition to building new machinery using the same tried and true designs with modern improvements. The Wahlco line of extruders use from 6-Inch through 12-inch augers in iron, steel and stainless steel.  We stock almost all wear parts for these extruders including augers, barrels, choppers, and mixing knives.

 

Fate / International Pugmills and Clay Extruders

The Fate Root Heath Company in Plymouth, Ohio has been a pioneer in clay extrusion dating back to 1892.  Sold under various names; Fate, FRH, International, Plymouth, and Fate Root Heath, they became the industry leader.  Now owned by Starkey Machinery, their full line of parts, dies, and related equipment continue to be available.  In-fact, Starkey Machinery stocks most FRH wear parts and can produce virtually any part needed to keep these excellent machines running well.

John R. Boaz Laboratory Pugmills and Extruders

 

The John R. Boaz Company of Los Angeles, California manufactured a small laboratory extruder for ceramic prototype work.  Starkey Machinery purchased the Boaz line and manufactures parts as well as providing rebuild services for these small extruders.
