The A.J. Wahl Company (Wahlco) of Brockton, NY designed and manufactured automatic pottery jiggering, glazing and other ceramic processing equipment.

The Wahlco name is now part of Starkey Machinery’s family of product lines. Starkey Machinery builds and maintains all Wahlco mixers and wadmills in addition to building new machinery using the same tried and true designs while incorporating new design and manufacturing ideas. The Wahlco line of mixers utilizes augers from 6-Inch through 12-Inch in size in ferrous and non-ferrous construction.

Fate / International Wadmills and Clay Mixers

The Fate / International division originated in Plymouth, Ohio at the Fate Root Heath Company back in 1892. The Fate / International line of ceramic extrusion equipment includes small laboratory pugmills through large brick extruders. The product line also includes other process equipment like mixers, wadmills, clay cutters, conveyors etc.

Starkey Machinery Inc., a closely held corporation specializing in machinery and equipment for the ceramic industry, purchased the Fate / International Division of Ohio Industries of Bucyrus, Ohio in November of 2001.

Starkey Machinery Inc. continues to fully support the Fate/International line of equipment by manufacturing both new extruders and mixers/wadmills as well as parts for all existing machinery.
