Starkey SFM66 Modular Extruder
The SFM66 DE-AIRING EXTRUDER is a modular system made of our SFM66W mixing section feeding the SFM66E de-airing vacuum extruder head. These sections attach in a variety of orientations to suit your specific needs. This innovative design will mix, de-air, and extrude a wide variety of ceramic bodies. This system is highly reliable and low maintenance with a low cost of operation.
Starkey SFM66 Extruder System (Pugmill)
- Made up of a mixer section and a vacuum extruder head

- Mixing section and extruder head can be attached in a variety of orientations
- Both standard and stainless steel versions available
- From 20 to 50 total HP in 2 independent drive units
- Built for either intermittent or uninterrupted operation
- Proximity sensing safety system will not shut down when clay is being added

Dual-shaft mixing section (SFM66W Wadmill)
- Can be used as a stand-alone wadmill or with a vacuum extruder head
- 24×48 inch hopper is standard with other sizes available

Vacuum Extruder Head (SFM66E)
- Utilizes a positive displacement vacuum de-airing chamber
- Material cannot bridge in the vacuum chamber like traditional extruders
- Can be oriented to extrude vertically or horizontally
- High extrusion pressure versions available
- 10-30 HP drive that operates independently from the mixer section
- 2,000-4,000 Lb/Hr extrusion rate
- Vacuum Chamber will not clog like traditional extruders
- Variable speed control available
- Jacketed barrels available for temperature control
